Sports Talk...with Roy Williams

Now that Roy Williams isn't busy making history (not the good kind) in Chapel Hill, he's got a little more free time to pursue other hobbies (see pic). Maybe I should invite him to make a guest cameo on this blog?

The 2009-10 Tar Heels set an NCAA record on Thursday for the most losses ever by a defending NCAA Champ. The Heels finished the season with a 16-16 record as they were eliminated from the ACC tourney by Georgia Tech.

At least Pitino gets his creep on at classy restaurants...

In other news, Syracuse pulled a 1-and-done drive-by on the Big East tourney in MSG. The Orange were bounced in their opening game by Georgetown Thursday night in NYC.

Can Syracuse still keep a #1 seed in the big dance? What if Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, and Ohio St. all win their conference tournaments while West Virginia, who's already #6 in the polls, goes on to win the Big East tournament?

Kansas won their opening round game Thursday vs. Texas Tech. They play Texas A&M tonight.

Kentucky plays Bama today at 1pm. Should they win, they'll face the winner of UT/Ole Miss at 1pm on Saturday.
