March Madness or March Dumbness???

Its that time of the year again, and you know what that means.....IT'S MARCH MADNESS BABY!!!! This years field looks like one for the memory books on how not to pair teams in the NCAA Tournament. Normally, the field looks good and there are very few complaints......this year the NCAA Tournament Committee must have been hitting a sauce of having one heck of a weekend cocktail party. Here are some things that caught my attention.

1. How in the world is Mississippi State not in this field??? They beat Florida straight up in the conference tourney, beat Vanderbilt to go to the conference finals, and give Kentucky all they want in the finals. Not to mention the water bottle toss incident in Starkville. Not to mention, they won the SEC west. The Gators going over the Bulldogs is flat out wrong!

2. How is Tennessee a 6 seed??? They beat UK and Kansas this year, the top 2 overall seeds in this years tourney and can only get a 6 seed? Look at the numbers, no way Tennessee can be looked over for 4 or 5 seeds, by the likes of BYU, Butler, and Purdue even, who has looked like bottom feeders since Hummel has went down!

3. Explain to me how Kansas and Kentucky are the top two seeds in the tourney and have a harder road to the final four than the other two number one seeds, Syracuse and Duke, that is just absurd!

4. How is Georgetown a 3 seed and Villanova a 2? No credit at all for getting to the conference final. I know they went 10-8 in the conference, but look at some the teams they beat and compare the two. Its no contest!

I just can't see the relevance here.

All in all, I can't wait to see what happens!

P.S. Here is a little upset special for all you bracketeers......Watch Vandy make a run in the west, and watch out for Louisville in the South!!

Until next time, Adios!

  1. My sleeper in this field is Maryland, look for the Terps to make a deep run.

  2. I like Baylor to get to the Final Four out of the south and think the vols will get bounced in the first round.
