DeMarcus Cousins Would Like You To Quit Calling Him Stupid

If you are an elitist, northeastern writer who would love to get with the Cornell Big Red, DeMarcus Cousins would like you to know that he is tired of the "smart guys" vs. "dumb guys" talk leading up to Thursday's game with Cornell.

Now, we have seen everyone from Jay Bilas to the lastest, Dan Shaugnessy of the Boston Globe make this assumption.
Cousins says, "We are here to play basketball. It's not a spelling bee." Good point Boogie.

And if you know DeMarcus, as shown in the picture to your left, he has a style that only he could pull off, and while wearing his trademark specs, he would go on to say, "Maybe I should wrap white tape around these glasses." I'm glad that he has spoke his mind and let everyone know how he and probably the rest of the guys on the team feel about the bashing that they have been getting from the Northeast media.

The biggest thing about all of this that bugs me is that, these writers act like that our guys are non deserving, because one day they will make millons of dollars in the NBA, but really, of these two teams, which of it's players probably had the hardest life growing up. For Cornell we see a bunch of guys who are intelligent and probably good young men, but more than likely grew up as trust fund babies, not to bash these guys for what they have, but before all of these members of the media want to go off saying who is deserving and who should win this game, they need to look at which of these teams players have waited their whole life for this opportunity. Which guys have made it through economic and racial struggles to reach a point that they can say, "I beat the odds, and I made it," when one of these so called "journalist" want to attack a University and a group of young men who have worked their entire life for this opportunity, they need to have a justifiable reason, until then, lay off.
