Day 4

The first weekend of this year's edition is complete, yesterday was very calm, however there were several games that went down to the final shot.

- Here are my opinions on day 4.

- Xavier and Cornell, became the 4th and 5th mid-major to make this year's SWEET 16. Xavier avenged last year's loss to Pittsburgh and Cornell showed why they are for real in dismantling Wisconsin. Jordan Crawford led the way for the upstart Xavier ball club, while Louis Dale and Ryan Wittman set the nets "on fire" for the Big Red of Cornell.

- Michigan State beat Maryland on a last second three by Korie Luscious after having a 16-point lead in the second half. The Spartans barely scraped by, but might have loss senior guard Kalin Lucas in the process as he went down to an apparent achilles injury.

- I am now 1 for 2 in Bold Predictions as Syracuse and Duke both won in convincing fashion.

This was a great first weekend of the tourney, this week I will cover each region and the matchups in each.

I will even have another Bold Prediction that you will probably laugh at, but in this blogger's opinion is very feasable.

Until Next Time, Adios!
