"The Battle for 2nd Place" aka the NCAA Women's Tournament

UK Hoops pulled off a nice upset over #1 seed Nebraska last night, advancing them to the Elite Eight in the women's tournament. This is a very good run for the Lady Cats as Matthew Mitchell and co. are putting the program on the map. Fortunately, Kentucky can make it all the way to the title game before they have to play the juggernaut that is UConn.

Just how good is UConn? Only 7 times in history have a men's basketball team had a perfect undefeated season. UConn's womens team has already done it 3 times under coach Geno Auriemma, and will in all likelyhoold do it a 4th this season. They've won 75 games in a row, dating back to February 5th 2008. This season they have won every single game by double digits, and 30 of their 36 wins have came by 25+. They have won their first three games in the tournament this season by a combined 148 points, easily a new record.

Good luck to UK Hoops, and let's hope they make it all the way to the championship game and pull off what would be one of the biggest upsets in sports history.
