What a day!

It's days like this that make running this blog so fun.

- To start the day off, I was able to get some airtime on Sirius/XM Radio's "Rivals Radio" show. If you're not familiar with it, it is a daily show from rivals.com and they REALLY know their stuff. Host Bill King is great, and took UK's side basically every time all other media outlets threw us under the bus during the Tubby and Billy G departures. Check their site out HERE. If you're a fan of college basketball and football, then this show alone makes the XM or Sirius subscription cost worth it.

I was able to ask Bill King if he thought Marquis Teague would end up at UK. He said he believed he would, didn't claim to have an inside scoop but that was just the way it was looking. He also said that even with Gilchrist, Teague, and Quincy Miller (who UK is the leader for), UK's 2011 class wouldn't be the best class of all time.

- At 1:30pm Bill, along with Evan Daniels and a few others found their predictions came true as Marquis Teague, the #2 recruit in the 2011 class committed to Kentucky. UK now has verbal commitments from the top two players from the class, and is in the lead for the #3 player too.

- For a night cap, we have the NFL draft. I absolutely love the NFL draft and think it's great that they've changed the format to put it into primetime.

A few predictions for the draft:

- Ben Roethlisberger and Albert Haynesworth will have new teams, with Big Ben getting his new home sometime tonight. Both are mega-stars int he league who aren't seeing eye-to-eye with their respective front offices, and Draft Day is the biggest trade day of the NFL year. Pittsburgh is shopping Roethlisberger for a 1st round pick, preferably a high one. Speaking solely in terms of talent, he's definitely worth it. But he's out for at least 4 games, possibly 6. Will a team give up that high of a draft pick for a player that will will have to set out AT LEAST 25% of the season? I believe one will be pull the trigger before all is said and done.

- Tim Tebow will be drafted in the 1st round. I can't help but think that so many scouts and GM's are simply downplaying their interest in Tebow so he will be available late in the 1st round. I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's drafted by New England.

- For fellow Bengals fans: Earl Thomas, Taylor Mays, Jermaine Gresham. One of these 3 names will be called when the Bengals make their choice with the #21 pick. Who Dey!
